“They” have over 45GB of private information about… YOU

Filed under: Internet — admin @ 7:18 pm

Well, not exactly they

But according to IDC, Internet has already stored a total of 45 GB or your own private information.

It is applied to those people who spend time in front of the computer using Internet (for instance, a 70-years-old-man, do not fit in this stadistics).

Of those 45 GB, half is storaged for the very own user, and the other half corresponds to the so called digital shadow. It means mail lists, blogs, and so on.

Leif Andersen, from Datatilsynet entity, express their worries: We’ve got a lot of emphasis in technology, but we haven’t even take care about how our information is used.

If we analyse deeply this information, we can realize how powerfull newest technologies are.

And it puts on the table a too much profund question to be solved with only a few minutes of reflexion…

Newest technologies are more and more powerfull, and it’s well known that this is potential is incrementing exponentially… So, are we going to be able to control our OWN information? Or it will arrive a moment when we are not going to have control of it?
