Plagiarism? Simpsons VS Family Guy
Hello again!
Who doesn’t know who’s either Peter Griffin or Homer Simpson? Nowadays, they are both icons of humour. They are characters of American cartoons and very well-known around the world.
I used to spend my time watching The Simpsons at midday. I have bored them after watching it over and over but instead of don’t mind if they are on air, and even though I know every conversation, every gag, I go ahead watching it when I’ve got time, often with my sister. They are like drugs.
Family Guy’s been different: I hadn’t got ‘La sexta’ (I need it if I wanna watch FG) until a few months ago and I used to watch FG in youtube, usually with my friends before going out (we are used to meet at my home when we go out because of I use to be alone).
The first one (Simpsons) is more like a short film and episodes are not related each one to another. On the other hand, Family Guy is more like a programme of gags: There are a story, of course, but it’s not like a film, it’s like this kind of programmes called Humor Amarillo or similar.
Anyway, wathever they are,the fact is that Simpsons’ producers have accused FG to copy their episodes. And what is that for? FG is based on typical American humour and producers know what people like. They have reproduced some gags which come from Simpsons, and you will think, yeah, that’s normal, there are a lot of episodes and it’s the same kind of humour… No, it isn’t whether it’s almost the same escene…! I found out this Video while I was listening some song at youtube page, and it’s really interesting how both series have, sometimes, the same gags… Even though The Simpsons were the really first one.
Nevertheless, in my opinion, I don’t mind if they are the same or not… Both are extremely funny
