EDIT: I’m chatting with a friend now… And I have to say that he’s right: This entry is limited to Spanish people, because of the meaning of it changes depending on where are you from. So, if you aren’t Spanish, you may think that it’s a bit rare… hehe

I love Internet, but at the same time it could also be really annoying… I have to do a little work and it’s based on some contents that are on my University’s webpage and it’s down at the moment. I should do it so that I can study. It really makes me angry… It isn’t enough difficult to be concentrated on studying, that when you try it, you usually fail. Or apparently, it always happens to me =S!

I think The World is against me… I know… haha

Anyway… This isn’t what I wanted to write about today. I don’t know where could I start… So, I think that the best would be with the beginning, wouldn’t it?

This afternoon I was chatting with a very good friend and after the common ‘hey man, how are you, I’m fine, so what’s new?’ a question crossed our conversation. A very good one. I’ll jot it down here, so that everybody can read it (we were talking about our own blogs):

For non-Spanish speakers, it means: Your Blog’s cool, it’s freakier than mine!

And then… The question:

The translation is the following one: It’s a nonsense, because, what does really freaky mean?

Darlings…The point is… Have you realized how deep, profound… Is that question? Does anybody know… Which is the correct answer?

I daresay that NOBODY know that.

At the beginning, this word was used to reference to people who like a lot PC Games, etc. Or what’s the same, those people who weren’t used to go out very often… It was a bad word. But slowly, it became a cool word and nowadays it’s used for almost everything! If you make some weird action, you are a freak. Whatever you do that border with noncommon things (it hasn’t to be too rare, some thing that it’s not the most ordinary is already a freaky thing) becomes a freaky thing.

This popular meaning changed what did it mean at first, of course, and so now it’s not a bad word like before unless it’s a cool word(summarising, as I’ve mentioned) . As an attemp to restore the first meaning, a new word is coming up among us: GEEK.

Maybe in some months, you will hear it wherever… If so… Remind me!
