[WTF] Fuck Windows Vista

Filed under: Computing, Humour, Linux — admin @ 5:45 pm

It was dark, raining cats and dogs. It was the time. It was now or never… He has no option. He looked back and stared, easy, at Redmon. He couldn’t stifle a tear, it was so hard after so many years… But he had already taken the decision. He can’t feel anything but sorry for his people. As a matter of fact, he was sure they were going to find another one, better than him, stronger, faster, more reliable. Nevertheless, even though he knew that, it still hurt. He didn’t want to leave… But he had to, he was no longer doing any good there. He had to leave, and the sooner, the better. He crossed the street and stopped by at the bar where he had always met with his friends, MAC and so on. He sighed, and went ahead. He started remembering while walking…

Once, he was the only option.
Once, all the people wanted him.
Once, he was, by far, the best.
Once…

A car tooted the horn and almost hit Windows Vista. He cursed all the insane drivers, but it didn’t matter. It wasn’t about a car, a driver… He was tired, he couldn’t stand this any more. It was being too much for him. At the beginning, nobody could have imagined it was going to go so far, nobody could have imagined that GNU was going to be a threat to Windows, much less in Vista. But this is technology and what’s good today, is probably bad tomorrow. He arrived at his destination. He started formatting himself (he couldn’t be discovered. It was the first and the most important rule: his code must remain secret, always. No exceptions). When he had almost being converted to NULL positions, he managed to finish with his pain, finally. Nobody will never be able to programme him again, he didn’t worth it. Free software had win the battle and now, another era was coming and there was no place for him.

Goodbye, and good luck, Microsoft

Definition of “que cojones” in English

Filed under: Humour, Others — admin @ 3:34 am

Which is the definition of “que cojones” in English? Why do Spanish people use this idiom so regularly and naturally? Let’s analyze it.

From the desk of Samy,

I never, ever would have imagined that I would write the following text! It turned out I was taking a look at my blog stats when I came across this…

I think all Spanish people will agree with me that this is, at least, funny funny funny! I’ll try to explain what this means, it’s not easy though!
First of all you must place yourself: this is a Spanish idiom, indeed, a very informal and vulgar one. In Spain, don’t wonder why, there are one type of men: they are machos ibericos. The translation would be males but it doesn’t have the same meaning at all.
These machos are men who likes to talk very rude and act very masculine. And the more hair you have, the better and if you drink a lot of beer as well, you could be the machos ibericos’ god.

How an engineer folds his shirts

Filed under: Humour, Videos — admin @ 1:48 pm

From the desk of Samy,

I’ve been away for personal (medical) reasons and I’m leaving tomorrow till 20th so I wanted to update the blog with a funny post. I’m pretty sure that most of the engineers will take it personally… ^__^

I hope it will make you smile as it did to me. Sometimes we complain that we are called freaks/geeks… But sometimes we must admit that’s true!

Have a good holidays and enjoy it!
